ARTIFACTS OF DESIGN
Miscellaneous Artifacts from Miscellaneous Projects
UX is not just about finished products, its about the process used to get there. This page includes miscellaneous UX artifacts from miscellaneous projects.
PROTOTYPING
Amongst other things, prototypes allow for greater interaction with the product and a deeper-level understanding of how the product is experienced
MARGINS
Margins might sound unimportant but they are critical to a website looking clean across viewports. I always define internal, external, and max-width values and what page elements should align to them.

GRIDS
Beneath every good interface, lies a good grid design.

PADDING
Spacing is very important in UI design because it makes the design neat and clean. When I design, I establish a spacing system that, amongst other things, developers can easily understand.

COMPONENT DESIGN
When designing for a “component-based” platform such as AEM, each component (or ‘building block’) has to be meticulously designed to assure its developed as intended, can be easily authored, and is extensible.

EMAIL DESIGN
Sometimes UX design is just “email layouts” and thats just life. . .

EMAIL WIREFRAMES
Sometimes UX design is just “email layouts” and I just said that.

EXPERIENCE MAP
To get an understanding of where a Healthy Food Truck would fit into the lifestyle of someone on a Flexible Eating Diet, I mapped their hunger experience, starting with its onset all the way to meal completion.

INFLUENCER MAP
To methodize and document Quest’s Influencer marketing, I Mapped all our influencer types. This is also a great exercise in exposing gaps and opportunities for better marketing in this channel. below is an sample.

TASK MODEL
A task model is another way to design specially for user needs. Below is a model I created before designing a web-based consulting app.

INTERACTION SPEC
A working Prototype your stakeholders can touch and feel is ideal for communicating complex interactions but sometimes you have to be lean. Below is a static interaction spec.

USER FLOW MAPS
A well designed sitemap makes for a well design website.

DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS
Providing a developer a layers design file is not enough. Below are examples from the visual documentation for a email sign up banner.

FUNNELS AND JOURNEYS
I created Various artifacts around personalization and the personalization funnel.

OTHER PROJECTS
Some other projects – just for fun…

The details are not the details. They make the design.
